Experts agree that empowering your employees with workforce optimization can help you achieve long-term success in your business.i But how can you empower your employees, and what does that really mean?
In this post, we’ll explore the powerful benefits of empowering your employees with sales enablement and how it can transform your teams to create a more productive and profitable company.
Your most valuable employees aren’t necessarily the ones with specific skills or experience; instead, they are the ones who have an “ownership mentality.”ii The ones who care about the customer experience, company profits, and that your business lasts. They are empowered employees.
To empower your employees, you’ll need to give them the ability, and the authority, tools, training, and support they need to act without having to seek instant approval for decisions they make. In turn, they will begin to take accountability for their actions. This is all part of sales enablement.

Workforce optimization is a methodology and strategy that helps your employees and teams become more efficient by aligning your business objectives and empowering employees to take ownership of their roles, make decisions, and think about what benefits the business the most.
Your workforce optimization, also called sales enablement, increases productivity and engagement of employees with technology, continued training, and access to resources that improve and allows teams to follow client buying journeys.
By optimizing the workforce, organizations can empower their employees to work smarter, not harder, and overcome:
Low productivity
Empowered employees are more engaged and motivated in their work, which can result in increased productivity and output.
Low levels of customer satisfaction
Empowered employees are essential for improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. They are more likely to go above and beyond for customers and can quickly resolve customer problems.
High turnover rates
Empowering employees results in higher job satisfaction and a sense of value from employers. This leads to less turnover and better employee retention, so you don’t have to hire as often.
Low employee engagement
Empowered employees are more likely to be engaged in their work. This means they are more likely to be productive, creative, and innovative.
Poor morale
Empowered employees are more likely to have high morale. This is because they feel valued, respected, and trusted by their employers.
Lack of mission
Empowered employees experience greater job satisfaction and a sense of purpose as they feel they are making a difference in their work.
Workforce optimization is critical for successful businesses. You can optimize your workforce by empowering your workers when you provide the right tools, build a positive culture, get organized, and reward independence and success. Here are a few tips on how to start:
Trust your team: Have your managers train your teams well enough so they have the knowledge and the ability to make decisions and take action. Then, trust your employees to make the right decisions.
Give needed resources: Ensure your teams have the resources, training, and information they need to succeed. This includes your playbook, digital media center, CRM, and more.
Create an empowered culture: Your employees shouldn’t be afraid to share their thoughts, concerns, and even disagreements with management. Make it a priority to hear what they have to say and accept different viewpoints.
Give a shout-out: Take the time to thank and recognize employees to show them that their work is appreciated and adds value to the company.
Demand accountability: The other side of the coin is that with decision-making comes responsibility. Your employees must understand that they will be held accountable for their decisions.
Understand your sales and client services teams: Talk to them to understand their challenges, discuss solutions, and create sales enablement programs that meet “on the floor” real-world needs.
Reach out and touch someone: Make a proactive effort to talk to all your team members to offer support and check in with them.
Make it simple: Keep your playbook and media storage accessible, simple, and up-to-date. It should never be challenging to get the right content.
Measure up: Track your metrics and KPIs to see how individuals and teams are performing, reward success, and guide those who need the help.
